Yesterday, I wistfully mentioned to Gllen how awesome it would be to own a house.
Gllen immediately said "No... we don't want to take care of a yard."
I was thinking of Mike and how he loves yard work, and, a little envious of Kate, I commented "It wouldn't hurt you to do a little yard work".
"Yeah it would!" he scoffed. "I'd have back pain, blisters, probably bleed a few times. Maybe get my arm chopped off in a lawn mower. And other stuff too. My shoes would get wet from shoveling snow."
Oh, the horror! We'll probably never own a house.
PS - Kate, you have no idea how lucky you are.

ReplyDeleteGllen hates yard work, but he also likes things that make him money rather than costing him money. Houses make you money. If you have a lackey like brent to do the bitchwork, they make you money with less effort.

Gllen, I'd like you to weigh in on this... Are your friends convincing you yet?

it might help convince gllen that he could grow way more jalapenos in his yard-garden. for his friends to come over and eat and then proceed to act insane. entertainment and food, all in one. val
