The First Batch

He refused to leave the house all Saturday, so he could monitor and tend to his meat. He kept telling me about the endless possibilities for recipes. I think he's going to do salmon next. I kept wondering if the neighbors were worried about the smoke smell.

  2. Well, kind of. Gllen didn't follow a recipe for the marinade, so we both agreed that in the next batch, we would want more layers of flavor and more heat... but the meat was good, and the smoke flavor was excellent. (My hands smelled smokey after eating some).

    I'm pretty sure Gllen will be able to finish off all five pounds of jerky...
